"Perfect" - Alastair Sawday

The George is an unspoilt, family run pub in the Peak District village of Alstonefield, above Dovedale. 

The pub is small, with a bar, snug to the side of the bar and dining room.  The bar has portraits of locals, historic artefacts and a homely fire. 

The dining room and snug have been restored to their original simplicity with lime plastered walls and farmhouse furniture.  Candlelight and fresh flowers add a touch of elegance.

We hope that you can join us soon to enjoy our well kept real ales, carefully selected wine list and real pub food.

Waiting staff

We are looking for staff, preferably with experience of being front of house at a pub or in a restaurant, although it's not essential.  The position will have variable and flexible hours.  Please apply by e-mail only to emily@thegeorgeatalstonefield.com, enclosing a brief CV and details of two referees.  Please note that we are in a rural location, and so you will need your own transport.
